Add-On
When the park gates close, the night shift begins. Add an after-dark drive to any outside-park tour and look for the nocturnal wildlife of Wilpattu's buffer zone and neighbouring village — creatures most visitors never see.
Night drives depart after sunset from outside the park boundary. Your naturalist uses a high-powered spotlight to scan the buffer-zone tracks and village edges where nocturnal animals gather.
Night drives are prohibited inside Wilpattu National Park. The buffer zone and surrounding village give you genuine after-dark wildlife viewing while staying within the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance.
We combine the night drive with your daytime safari for a more complete Wilpattu experience. Most guests add it to their second or third evening.

Add a night drive when you book any outside-park tour. Mention it in your inquiry or add it via WhatsApp. We will schedule it based on your itinerary and moon phase — darker nights mean better sightings.
The wildlife does not stop at the park fence. Add a night drive to your expedition.
